Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: When a ב דּ בּ ר א ל בּ נ י י שׂ ר א ל ו א מ ר תּ א ל ה ם א ד ם man from [among] you brings a sacrifice to the Lord; from animals, from cattle or from the flock you shall bring your sacrifice. כּ י י ק ר יב מ כּ ם ק ר בּ ן ל יהוֹ ה מ ן ה בּ ה מ ה מ ן ה בּ ק ר וּמ ן ה צּ אן תּ ק ר יבוּ א ת ק ר בּ נ כ ם: 3. If his sacrifice is a burnt offering from cattle, an ג א ם ע ל ה ק ר בּ נוֹ מ ן ה בּ ק ר ז כ ר תּ מ ים י ק ר יב נּוּ unblemished male he shall bring it. He shall bring it willingly to the entrance of the Tent of Meeting, before the Lord. א ל פּ ת ח א ה ל מוֹע ד י ק ר יב א ת וֹ ל ר צ נ וֹ ל פ נ י י הוֹ ה: ד ו ס מ י ד וֹ ע ל ר אשׁ ה ע ל ה ו נ ר צ ה ל וֹ ל כ פּ ר ע ל יו:.4 And he shall lean his hand [forcefully] upon the head of the burnt offering, and it will be accepted for him to atone for him. ה ו שׁ ח ט א ת בּ ן ה בּ ק ר ל פ נ י י הוֹ ה ו ה ק ר יבוּ בּ נ י.5 And he shall slaughter the young bull before the Lord. And Aaron's descendants, the kohanim, shall bring the blood, and dash the blood upon the altar, around [the altar] which is at the entrance of the Tent of Meeting. א ה ר ן ה כּ ה נ ים א ת ה דּ ם ו ז ר ק וּ א ת ה דּ ם ע ל ה מּ ז בּ ס ב יב א שׁ ר פּ ת ח א ה ל מוֹע ד: 6. And he shall skin the burnt offering, and cut it into its ו ו ה פ שׁ יט א ת ה ע ל ה ו נ תּ ח א ת הּ ל נ ת ח יה : [prescribed] sections. ז ו נ ת נ וּ בּ נ י א ה ר ן ה כּ ה ן א שׁ ע ל ה מּ ז בּ ו ע ר כ וּ.7 And the descendants of Aaron the kohen shall place fire on the altar, and arrange wood on the fire. ע צ ים ע ל ה א שׁ:

And Aaron's descendants, the kohanim, shall then arrange ח ו ע ר כ וּ בּ נ י א ה ר ן ה כּ ה נ ים א ת ה נּ ת ח ים א ת ה ר אשׁ ו א ת ה פּ ד ר ע ל ה ע צ ים א שׁ ר ע ל ה א שׁ א שׁ ר ע ל ה מּ ז בּ : the pieces, the head and the fat, on top of the wood which is on the fire that is on the altar. ט ו ק ר בּ וֹ וּכ ר ע יו י ר ח ץ בּ מּ י ם ו ה ק ט יר ה כּ ה ן Then,.9 And its innards and its legs, he shall wash with water. א ת ה כּ ל ה מּ ז בּ ח ה ע ל ה א שּׁ ה ר י נ יח וֹ ל יהוֹ ה: the kohen shall cause to [go up in] smoke all [of the animal] on the altar, as a burnt offering, a fire offering, [with] a pleasing fragrance to the Lord. י ו א ם מ ן ה צּ אן ק ר בּ נ וֹ מ ן ה כּ שׂ ב ים א וֹ מ ן ה ע זּ ים.10 And if his offering is [brought] from the flock from sheep or ל ע ל ה ז כ ר תּ מ ים י ק ר יב נּוּ: from goats as a burnt offering he shall sacrifice it an unblemished male. יא ו שׁ ח ט א ת וֹ ע ל י ר ה מּ ז בּ צ פ נ ה ל פ נ י י הוֹ ה altar,.11 And he shall slaughter it on the northern side of the ו ז ר ק וּ בּ נ י א ה ר ן ה כּ ה נ ים א ת דּ מ וֹ ע ל ה מּ ז בּ ס ב יב: before the Lord. Second Portion Leviticus Chapter And if his sacrifice to the Lord, is a burnt offering from יד ו א ם מ ן ה ע וֹף ע ל ה ק ר בּ נ וֹ ל יהוֹ ה ו ה ק ר יב birds, he shall bring [it] from turtle doves or from young doves. מ ן ה תּ ר ים א וֹ מ ן בּ נ י ה יּוֹנ ה א ת ק ר בּ נ וֹ: טו ו ה ק ר יב וֹ ה כּ ה ן א ל ה מּ ז בּ וּמ ל ק א ת ר אשׁ וֹ.15 And the kohen shall bring it near to the altar, and nip off its ו ה ק ט יר ה מּ ז בּ ח ה ו נ מ צ ה ד מ וֹ ע ל ק יר ה מּ ז בּ : [the head, and cause it to [go up in] smoke on the altar, and its bird's] blood shall be pressed out upon the wall of the altar. טז ו ה ס יר א ת מ ר א ת וֹ בּ נ צ ת הּ ו ה שׁ ל י א ת הּ א צ ל.16 And he shall remove its crop along with its entrails, and cast it next to the altar on the east side, to the place of the ה מּ ז בּ ק ד מ ה א ל מ ק וֹם ה דּ שׁ ן: ashes. יז ו שׁ סּ ע א ת וֹ ב כ נ פ יו ל א י ב דּ יל ו ה ק ט יר א ת וֹ.17 And he shall split it open with its wing feathers [intact], but he shall not tear it completely apart. It is a burnt offering, a fire offering [with] a pleasing fragrance to the Lord. ה וּא א שּׁ ה ר י נ יח ל יהוֹ ה: Leviticus Chapter 2 א ו נ פ שׁ כּ י ת ק ר יב ק ר בּ ן מ נ ח ה ל יהוֹ ה ס ל ת י ה י ה.1 And if a person brings a meal offering to the Lord, his offering shall be of fine flour. He shall pour oil over it and place frankincense upon it. ק ר בּ נ וֹ ו י צ ק ע ל יה שׁ מ ן ו נ ת ן ע ל יה ל ב נ ה: ב ו ה ב יא הּ א ל בּ נ י א ה ר ן ה כּ ה נ ים ו ק מ ץ מ שּׁ ם kohanim,.2 And he shall bring it to Aaron's descendants, the and from there, he [the kohen] shall scoop out his fistful of its fine flour and its oil, in addition to all its frankincense. Then, the kohen shall cause its reminder to [go up in] smoke on the altar; [it is] a fire offering [with] a pleasing fragrance to the Lord. מ ל א ק מ צ וֹ מ סּ ל תּ הּ וּמ שּׁ מ נ הּ ע ל כּ ל ל ב נ ת הּ ו ה ק ט יר ה כּ ה ן א ת א ז כּ ר ת הּ ה מּ ז בּ ח ה א שּׁ ה ר י נ יח ל יהוֹ ה: ג ו ה נּוֹת ר ת מ ן ה מּ נ ח ה ל א ה ר ן וּל ב נ יו ק ד שׁ.3 And what remains of the meal offering shall belong to Aaron and to his descendants; [it is] holy of holies from the fire offerings of the Lord. ק ד שׁ ים מ א שּׁ י י הוֹ ה: ד ו כ י ת ק ר ב ק ר בּ ן מ נ ח ה מ א פ ה ת נּ וּר ס ל ת ח לּ וֹת.4 And if one brings a meal offering baked in an oven, it shall consist of [either] unleavened loaves [made] of fine flour mixed with oil, or unleavened wafers anointed with oil. מ צּ ת בּ לוּ ת בּ שּׁ מ ן וּר ק י ק י מ צּ וֹת מ שׁ ח ים בּ שּׁ מ ן: ה ו א ם מ נ ח ה ע ל ה מּ ח ב ת ק ר בּ נ ס ל ת בּ לוּל ה.5 And if a meal offering on a pan is your sacrifice, it shall be [made] of fine flour, mixed with oil; it shall be unleavened. ב שּׁ מ ן מ צּ ה ת ה י ה: ו פּ ת וֹת א ת הּ פּ תּ ים ו י צ ק תּ ע ל יה שׁ מ ן מ נ ח ה ה וא:.6 Break it into pieces, and you shall [then] pour oil over it. It is a meal offering. Leviticus Chapter 2 Third Portion ז ו א ם מ נ ח ת מ ר ח שׁ ת ק ר בּ נ ס ל ת בּ שּׁ מ ן pot,.7 And if your sacrifice is a meal offering [made] in a deep it shall be made of fine flour with oil. תּ ע שׂ ה: ח ו ה ב את א ת ה מּ נ ח ה א שׁ ר י ע שׂ ה מ א לּ ה ל יהוֹ ה.8 Thus you shall bring the meal offering which shall be made from these [types], to the Lord. And he shall bring it to the kohen, and he shall bring it close to the altar. ו ה ק ר יב הּ א ל ה כּ ה ן ו ה גּ ישׁ הּ א ל ה מּ ז בּ : ט ו ה ר ים ה כּ ה ן מ ן ה מּ נ ח ה א ת א ז כּ ר ת הּ ו ה ק ט יר.9 And the kohen shall lift out, from the meal offering, its reminder and cause it to [go up in] smoke on the altar; [it is] a fire offering [with] a pleasing fragrance to the Lord. ה מּ ז בּ ח ה א שּׁ ה ר י נ יח ל יהוֹ ה:

And what remains of the meal offering shall belong to י ו ה נּוֹת ר ת מ ן ה מּ נ ח ה ל א ה ר ן וּל ב נ יו ק ד שׁ ק ד שׁ ים מ א שּׁ י י הוֹ ה: Aaron and his descendants; [it is] holy of holies from the fire offerings of the Lord. יא כּ ל ה מּ נ ח ה א שׁ ר תּ ק ר יבוּ ל יהוֹ ה ל א ת ע שׂ ה.11 No meal offering that you sacrifice to the Lord shall be ח מ ץ כּ י כ ל שׂ א ר ו כ ל דּ ב שׁ ל א ת ק ט ירוּ מ מּ נּוּ א שּׁ ה ל יהוֹ ה: made [out of anything] leavened. For you shall not cause to [go up in] smoke any leavening or any honey, [as] a fire offering to the Lord; יב ק ר בּ ן ר אשׁ ית תּ ק ר יבוּ א ת ם ל יהוֹ ה ו א ל ה מּ ז בּ [However,] you shall bring them as a first [fruit] offering to.12 ל א י ע ל וּ ל ר י נ יח : the Lord; nevertheless, they shall not go up on the altar as a pleasing fragrance to the Lord. 13. And you shall salt every one of your meal offering יג ו כ ל ק ר בּ ן מ נ ח ת בּ מּ ל ח תּ מ ל ח ו ל א ת שׁ בּ ית מ ל ח בּ ר ית א ה י מ ע ל מ נ ח ת ע ל כּ ל ק ר בּ נ תּ ק ר יב מ ל ח: sacrifices with salt, and you shall not omit the salt of your God's covenant from [being placed] upon your meal offerings. You shall offer salt on all your sacrifices. יד ו א ם תּ ק ר יב מ נ ח ת בּ כּוּר ים ל יהוֹ ה א ב יב ק ל וּי.14 When you bring a meal offering of the first grains to the בּ א שׁ גּ ר שׂ כּ ר מ ל תּ ק ר יב א ת מ נ ח ת בּ כּוּר י : ה וא: Lord, you shall bring your first grain meal offering [from barley], as soon as it ripens, parched over the fire, kernels full in their husks, [ground into] coarse meal. טו ו נ ת תּ ע ל יה שׁ מ ן ו שׂ מ תּ ע ל יה ל ב נ ה מ נ ח ה it..15 And you shall put oil on it, and place frankincense upon It is a meal offering. טז ו ה ק ט יר ה כּ ה ן א ת א ז כּ ר ת הּ מ גּ ר שׂ הּ וּמ שּׁ מ נ הּ in].16 Then, the kohen shall cause its reminder to [go up ע ל כּ ל ל ב נ ת הּ א שּׁ ה ל יהוֹ ה: smoke, [taken] from its coarse meal and from its oil, with all its frankincense; [it is] a fire offering to the Lord. Leviticus Chapter 3 Fourth Portion א ו א ם ז ב ח שׁ ל מ ים ק ר בּ נ וֹ א ם מ ן ה בּ ק ר ה וּא cattle,.1 If his sacrifice is a peace offering, if he brings it from מ ק ר יב א ם ז כ ר א ם נ ק ב ה תּ מ ים י ק ר יב נּוּ ל פ נ י י הוֹ ה: whether male or female, unblemished he shall bring it before the Lord. ב ו ס מ י דוֹ ע ל ר אשׁ ק ר בּ נ וֹ וּשׁ ח ט וֹ פּ ת ח א ה ל.2 And he shall lean his hand [forcefully] upon the head of his מוֹע ד ו ז ר ק וּ בּ נ י א ה ר ן ה כּ ה נ ים א ת ה דּ ם ע ל ה מּ ז בּ ס ב יב: sacrifice and slaughter it at the entrance of the Tent of Meeting. And Aaron's descendants, the kohanim, shall dash the blood upon the altar, around. ג ו ה ק ר יב מ זּ ב ח ה שּׁ ל מ ים א שּׁ ה ל יהוֹ ה א ת ה ח ל ב.3 And from the peace offering, he shall bring a fire offering to

5 the Lord [comprised of]: the fat covering the innards and all the fat that is on the innards, ה מ כ סּ ה א ת ה קּ ר ב ו א ת כּ ל ה ח ל ב א שׁ ר ע ל ה קּ ר ב: ד ו א ת שׁ תּ י ה כּ ל י ת ו א ת ה ח ל ב א שׁ ר ע ל ה ן א שׁ ר.4 and the two kidneys [along] with the fat that is upon them ע ל ה כּ ס ל ים ו א ת ה יּ ת ר ת ע ל ה כּ ב ד ע ל ה כּ ל י וֹת י ס יר נּ ה: which is over the flanks. And he shall remove the diaphragm with the liver, along with the kidneys. יא ו ה ק ט יר וֹ ה כּ ה ן ה מּ ז בּ ח ה ל ח ם א שּׁ ה ל יהוֹ ה:.11 And the kohen shall cause it to [go up in] smoke on the altar, as food for the fire, to the Lord. 12. And if his sacrifice is a goat, he shall bring it before the יב ו א ם ע ז ק ר בּ נ וֹ ו ה ק ר יב וֹ ל פ נ י י הוֹ ה: Lord, יג ו ס מ א ת י דוֹ ע ל ר אשׁ וֹ ו שׁ ח ט א ת וֹ ל פ נ י א ה ל.13 and he shall lean his hand [forcefully] upon its head and מוֹע ד ו ז ר ק וּ בּ נ י א ה ר ן א ת דּ מ וֹ ע ל ה מּ ז בּ ס ב יב: slaughter it before the Tent of Meeting, and Aaron's descendants shall dash its blood upon the altar, around. יד ו ה ק ר יב מ מּ נּוּ ק ר בּ נ וֹ א שּׁ ה ל יהוֹ ה א ת ה ח ל ב.14 And from it, he shall bring his offering a fire offering to the

All [sacrificial] fat belongs to the Lord. יז ח קּ ת עוֹל ם ל ד ר ת יכ ם בּ כ ל מ וֹשׁ ב ת יכ ם כּ ל ח ל ב [This is] an eternal statute for all your generations, in all.17 ו כ ל דּ ם ל א ת אכ לוּ: your dwelling places: You shall not eat any fat or any blood. Leviticus Chapter 4 Fifth Portion א ו י ד בּ ר י הוֹ ה א ל משׁ ה לּ אמ ר: saying,.1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, 2. Speak to the children of Israel, saying: If a person sins ב דּ בּ ר א ל בּ נ י י שׂ ר א ל ל אמ ר נ פ שׁ כּ י ת ח ט א ב שׁ ג ג ה מ כּ ל מ צ וֹ ת י הוֹ ה א שׁ ר ל א ת ע שׂ ינ ה ו ע שׂ ה מ א ח ת מ ה נּ ה: unintentionally [by committing one] of all the commandments of the Lord, which may not be committed, and he commits [part] of one of them ג א ם ה כּ ה ן ה מּ שׁ י י ח ט א ל א שׁ מ ת ה ע ם ו ה ק ר יב.3 If the anointed kohen sins, bringing guilt to the people, then ע ל ח טּ אתוֹ א שׁ ר ח ט א פּ ר בּ ן בּ ק ר תּ מ ים ל יהוֹ ה ל ח טּ את: he shall bring for his sin which he has committed, an unblemished young bull as a sin offering to the Lord. ד ו ה ב יא א ת ה פּ ר א ל פּ ת ח א ה ל מוֹע ד ל פ נ י י הוֹ ה.4 And he shall bring the bull to the entrance of the Tent of ו ס מ א ת י דוֹ ע ל ר אשׁ ה פּ ר ו שׁ ח ט א ת ה פּ ר ל פ נ י י הוֹ ה: Meeting before the Lord, and he shall lean his hand [forcefully] upon the bull's head and slaughter the bull before the Lord. ה ו ל ק ח ה כּ ה ן ה מּ שׁ י מ דּ ם ה פּ ר ו ה ב יא א ת וֹ.5 And the anointed kohen shall take from the bull's blood and א ל א ה ל מוֹע ד: bring it into the Tent of Meeting. 6. And the kohen shall dip his finger into the blood and ו ו ט ב ל ה כּ ה ן א ת א צ בּ ע וֹ בּ דּ ם ו ה זּ ה מ ן ה דּ ם שׁ ב ע פּ ע מ ים ל פ נ י י הוֹ ה א ת פּ נ י פּ ר כ ת ה קּ ד שׁ: sprinkle some of the blood seven times before the Lord, before the dividing curtain of the Sanctuary. ז ו נ ת ן ה כּ ה ן מ ן ה דּ ם ע ל ק ר נ וֹת מ ז בּ ח ק ט ר ת.7 And the kohen shall place some of the blood on the horns ה סּ מּ ים ל פ נ י י הוֹ ה א שׁ ר בּ א ה ל מוֹע ד ו א ת כּ ל דּ ם of the incense altar which is in the Tent of Meeting, before the Lord, and he shall pour all the blood of the bull onto the base of

And all the fat of the sin offering bull he shall separate from ח ו א ת כּ ל ח ל ב פּ ר ה ח טּ את י ר ים מ מּ נּוּ א ת ה ח ל ב ה מ כ סּ ה ע ל ה קּ ר ב ו א ת כּ ל ה ח ל ב א שׁ ר ע ל ה קּ ר ב: it: the fat covering the innards, and all the fat that is on the innards, ט ו א ת שׁ תּ י ה כּ ל י ת ו א ת ה ח ל ב א שׁ ר ע ל יה ן א שׁ ר them,.9 and the two kidneys [along] with the fat that is on ע ל ה כּ ס ל ים ו א ת ה יּ ת ר ת ע ל ה כּ ב ד ע ל ה כּ ל י וֹת י ס יר נּ ה: which is on the flanks; and the diaphragm with the liver, along with the kidneys, he shall remove it, י כּ א שׁ ר יוּר ם מ שּׁ וֹר ז ב ח ה שּׁ ל מ ים ו ה ק ט יר ם.10 just as was separated from the bull [sacrificed as] a peace ה כּ ה ן ע ל מ ז בּ ח ה ע ל ה: offering, the kohen shall then cause them to [go up in] smoke on the altar [used] for burnt offerings. יא ו א ת ע וֹר ה פּ ר ו א ת כּ ל בּ שׂ ר וֹ ע ל ר אשׁ וֹ [He shall then take] the bull's skin and all of its flesh, along.11 ו ע ל כּ ר ע יו ו ק ר בּ וֹ וּפ ר שׁ וֹ: with its head and along with its legs, its innards and its waste matter. 12. He shall take out the entire bull to a clean place outside יב ו הוֹצ יא א ת כּ ל ה פּ ר א ל מ ח וּץ ל מּ ח נ ה א ל מ ק וֹם ט הוֹר א ל שׁ פ ה דּ שׁ ן ו שׂ ר ף א ת וֹ ע ל ע צ ים בּ א שׁ ע ל שׁ פ ה דּ שׁ ן י שּׂ ר ף: the camp, [namely,] to the ash depository, and he shall burn it in fire on wood. Thus, it shall be burnt in the ash depository. יג ו א ם כּ ל ע ד ת י שׂ ר א ל י שׁ גּ וּ ו נ ע ל ם דּ ב ר מ ע ינ י.13 And if the entire community of Israel errs because a matter ה קּ ה ל ו ע שׂ וּ א ח ת מ כּ ל מ צ וֹ ת י הוֹ ה א שׁ ר ל א ת ע שׂ ינ ה ו א שׁ מוּ: was hidden from the eyes of the congregation, and they commit one of all the commandments of the Lord, which may not be committed, incurring guilt; יד ו נ וֹד ע ה ה ח טּ את א שׁ ר ח ט א וּ ע ל יה ו ה ק ר יבוּ known,.14 When the sin which they had committed becomes ה קּ ה ל פּ ר בּ ן בּ ק ר ל ח טּ את ו ה ב יאוּ א ת וֹ ל פ נ י א ה ל מוֹע ד: the congregation shall bring a young bull as a sin offering. They shall bring it before the Tent of Meeting. 15. The elders of the community shall lean their hands טו ו ס מ כ וּ ז ק נ י ה ע ד ה א ת י ד יה ם ע ל ר אשׁ ה פּ ר ל פ נ י י הוֹ ה ו שׁ ח ט א ת ה פּ ר ל פ נ י י הוֹ ה: מוֹע ד: [forcefully] upon the bull's head, before the Lord, and one shall slaughter the bull before the Lord. טז ו ה ב יא ה כּ ה ן ה מּ שׁ י מ דּ ם ה פּ ר א ל א ה ל.16 The anointed kohen shall bring some of the bull's blood into the Tent of Meeting, יז ו ט ב ל ה כּ ה ן א צ בּ ע וֹ מ ן ה דּ ם ו ה זּ ה שׁ ב ע פּ ע מ ים.17 and the kohen shall dip his finger from the blood, and ל פ נ י י הוֹ ה א ת פּ נ י ה פּ ר כ ת: sprinkle [it] seven times before the Lord, before the dividing curtain.

8 יח וּמ ן ה דּ ם י תּ ן ע ל ק ר נ ת ה מּ ז בּ א שׁ ר ל פ נ י.18 And he shall then place some of the blood on the horns of י הוֹ ה א שׁ ר בּ א ה ל מוֹע ד ו א ת כּ ל ה דּ ם י שׁ פּ א ל י סוֹד מ ז בּ ח ה ע ל ה א שׁ ר פּ ת ח א ה ל מוֹע ד: the altar that is before the Lord in the Tent of Meeting. And then he shall pour all the blood onto the base of the altar [used] for burnt offerings, which is at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. יט ו א ת כּ ל ח ל בּ וֹ י ר ים מ מּ נּוּ ו ה ק ט יר ה מּ ז בּ ח ה:.19 And he shall separate all its fat from it and cause it to [go up in] smoke on the altar. כ ו ע שׂ ה ל פּ ר כּ א שׁ ר ע שׂ ה ל פ ר ה ח טּ את כּ ן.20 He shall do to the bull just as he did to the bull of the sin י ע שׂ ה לּ וֹ ו כ פּ ר ע ל ה ם ה כּ ה ן ו נ ס ל ח ל ה ם: offering thus he shall do to it. Thus the kohen shall make atonement for them [the community], and they will be forgiven. כא ו הוֹצ יא א ת ה פּ ר א ל מ חוּץ ל מּ ח נ ה ו שׂ ר ף א ת וֹ it,.21 And he shall take the bull outside the camp and burn כּ א שׁ ר שׂ ר ף א ת ה פּ ר ה ר אשׁ וֹן ח טּ את ה קּ ה ל ה וּא: just as he burned the first bull. It is a sin offering for the congregation. כב א שׁ ר נ שׂ יא י ח ט א ו ע שׂ ה א ח ת מ כּ ל מ צ וֹ ת.22 If a leader [of Israel] sins and unintentionally commits one י הוֹ ה א ה יו א שׁ ר ל א ת ע שׂ ינ ה בּ שׁ ג ג ה ו א שׁ ם: of all the commandments of the Lord, which may not be committed, incurring guilt; כג א וֹ הוֹד ע א ל יו ח טּ את וֹ א שׁ ר ח ט א בּ הּ ו ה ב יא him,.23 if his sin that he has committed is made known to א ת ק ר בּ נ וֹ שׂ ע יר ע זּ ים ז כ ר תּ מ ים: then he shall bring his offering: an unblemished male goat. כד ו ס מ י דוֹ ע ל ר אשׁ ה שּׂ ע יר ו שׁ ח ט א ת וֹ בּ מ ק וֹם.24 And he shall lean his hand [forcefully] upon the goat's א שׁ ר י שׁ ח ט א ת ה ע ל ה ל פ נ י י הוֹ ה ח טּ את ה וּא: head and slaughter it in the place where he slaughters burnt offerings, before the Lord. It is a sin offering. 25. And the kohen shall take some of the blood of the sin כה ו ל ק ח ה כּ ה ן מ דּ ם ה ח טּ את בּ א צ בּ ע וֹ ו נ ת ן ע ל ק ר נ ת מ ז בּ ח ה ע ל ה ו א ת דּ מ וֹ י שׁ פּ מ ז בּ ח ה ע ל ה: א ל י ס וֹד offering with his finger, and place [it] on the horns of the altar [used] for burnt offerings. Thus the kohen shall make atonement for his sin, and he will be forgiven. Leviticus Chapter 4 Sixth Portion 27. If one person of the people of the land commits a sin כז ו א ם נ פ שׁ א ח ת תּ ח ט א ב שׁ ג ג ה מ ע ם ה א ר ץ בּ ע שׂת הּ א ח ת מ מּ צ וֹ ת י הוֹ ה א שׁ ר ל א ת ע שׂ ינ ה ו א שׁ ם: unintentionally, by his committing one of the commandments of the Lord which may not be committed, incurring guilt;

9 כח א וֹ הוֹד ע א ל יו ח טּ את וֹ א שׁ ר ח ט א ו ה ב יא.28 if his sin that he committed is made known to him, he shall ק ר בּ נ וֹ שׂ ע יר ת ע זּ ים תּ מ ימ ה נ ק ב ה ע ל ח טּ את וֹ א שׁ ר ח ט א: bring his sacrifice: an unblemished female goat, for his sin that he committed. 29. And he shall lean his hand [forcefully] on the head of the כט ו ס מ א ת י ד וֹ ע ל ר אשׁ ה ח טּ את ו שׁ ח ט א ת ה ח טּ את בּ מ ק וֹם ה ע ל ה: sin offering, and he shall slaughter the sin offering in the place of the burnt offering. ל ו ל ק ח ה כּ ה ן מ דּ מ הּ בּ א צ בּ ע וֹ ו נ ת ן ע ל ק ר נ ת finger,.30 And the kohen shall take some of its blood with his מ ז בּ ח ה ע ל ה ו א ת כּ ל דּ מ הּ י שׁ פּ ה מּ ז בּ : א ל י ס וֹד and place [it] on the horns of the altar [used] for burnt offerings. And then he shall pour all of its [remaining] blood at the base of the altar. 31. And he shall remove all of its fat, just as the fat was לא ו א ת כּ ל ח ל בּ הּ י ס יר כּ א שׁ ר הוּס ר ח ל ב מ ע ל ז ב ח ה שּׁ ל מ ים ו ה ק ט יר ה כּ ה ן ה מּ ז בּ ח ה ל ר י נ יח ל יהוֹ ה ו כ פּ ר ע ל יו ה כּ ה ן ו נ ס ל ח ל וֹ: removed from the peace offering. The kohen shall then cause it to [go up in] smoke on the altar, as a pleasing fragrance to the Lord. Thus the kohen shall make atonement for him, and he will be forgiven. לב ו א ם כּ ב שׂ י ב יא ק ר בּ נ וֹ ל ח טּ את נ ק ב ה ת מ ימ ה.32 If he brings a sheep for his sin offering, he shall bring an י ב יא נּ ה: unblemished female. לג ו ס מ א ת י ד וֹ ע ל ר אשׁ ה ח טּ את ו שׁ ח ט א ת הּ.33 He shall lean his hand [forcefully] upon the head of the sin ל ח טּ את בּ מ ק וֹם א שׁ ר י שׁ ח ט א ת ה ע ל ה: offering and slaughter it as a sin offering in the place where he slaughters the burnt offering. 34. And the kohen shall take some of the blood of the sin לד ו ל ק ח ה כּ ה ן מ דּ ם ה ח טּ את בּ א צ בּ ע וֹ ו נ ת ן ע ל ק ר נ ת מ ז בּ ח ה ע ל ה ו א ת כּ ל דּ מ הּ י שׁ פּ א ל י ס וֹד ה מּ ז בּ : offering with his finger and place [it] on the horns of the altar [used] for burnt offerings. Leviticus Chapter 5 א ו נ פ שׁ כּ י ת ח ט א ו שׁ מ ע ה ק וֹל א ל ה ו ה וּא ע ד א וֹ.1 If a person sins, whereby he accepts an oath, and he is a ר א ה א וֹ י ד ע א ם ל וֹא י גּ יד ו נ שׂ א ע וֹ נ וֹ: witness [to some matter] by seeing or knowing [it], yet he does not testify, he shall bear his transgression; ב א וֹ נ פ שׁ א שׁ ר תּ גּ ע בּ כ ל דּ ב ר ט מ א אוֹ ב נ ב ל ת.2 Or if a person touches anything unclean, whether it is the

Or if he touches the uncleanness of a human, with any ג א וֹ כ י י גּ ע בּ ט מ א ת א ד ם ל כ ל ט מ א ת וֹ א שׁ ר י ט מ א בּ הּ ו נ ע ל ם מ מּ נּוּ ו ה וּא י ד ע ו א שׁ ם: uncleanness through which he may become defiled, and it is hidden from him and [later] he knows, he has incurred guilt; ד א וֹ נ פ שׁ כּ י ת שּׁ ב ע ל ב טּ א ב שׂ פ ת י ם ל ה ר ע א וֹ.4 Or if a person swears, expressing with [his] lips to do harm ל ה יט יב ל כ ל א שׁ ר י ב טּ א ה א ד ם בּ שׁ ב ע ה ו נ ע ל ם מ מּ נּוּ ו ה וּא י ד ע ו א שׁ ם ל א ח ת מ א לּ ה: or to do good, whatever a man may express in an oath, and it is hidden from him and [later] he knows, he is guilty in any one of these cases. ה ו ה י ה כ י י א שׁ ם ל א ח ת מ א לּ ה ו ה ת ו דּ ה א שׁ ר.5 And it shall be, when someone incurs guilt in any one of ח ט א ע ל יה : these cases, that he shall confess the sin which he had committed, ו ו ה ב יא א ת א שׁ מ וֹ ל יהוֹ ה ע ל ח טּ אתוֹ א שׁ ר ח ט א.6 and he shall bring his guilt offering to the Lord for his sin נ ק ב ה מ ן ה צּ אן כּ שׂ בּ ה א וֹ שׂ ע יר ת ע זּ ים ל ח טּ את ו כ פּ ר ע ל יו ה כּ ה ן מ ח טּ את וֹ: which he had committed, a female [animal] from the flock either a sheep or a goat, for a sin offering. And the kohen shall make atonement from his sin. ז ו א ם ל א ת גּ י י דוֹ דּ י שׂ ה ו ה ב יא א ת א שׁ מ וֹ.7 But if he cannot afford a sheep, he shall bring as his guilt א שׁ ר ח ט א שׁ תּ י ת ר ים א וֹ שׁ נ י ב נ י יוֹנ ה ל יהוֹ ה א ח ד ל ח טּ את ו א ח ד ל ע ל ה: offering for that [sin] that he had committed, two turtle doves or two young doves before the Lord, one for a sin offering, and one for a burnt offering. 8. He shall bring them to the kohen, who shall first offer up ח ו ה ב יא א ת ם א ל ה כּ ה ן ו ה ק ר יב א ת א שׁ ר ל ח טּ את ר אשׁוֹנ ה וּמ ל ק א ת ר אשׁ וֹ מ מּ וּל ע ר פּ וֹ ו ל א י ב דּ יל: that [bird] which is [designated] for the sin offering. He shall cut its head [by piercing with his nail] opposite the back of its head, but shall not separate [it]. ט ו ה זּ ה מ דּ ם ה ח טּ את ע ל ק יר ה מּ ז בּ ו ה נּ שׁ א ר.9 He shall sprinkle from the blood of the sin offering on the בּ דּ ם י מּ צ ה א ל י ס וֹד ה מּ ז בּ ח טּ את ה וּא: wall of the altar, and the remainder of the blood shall be pressed out onto the base of the altar. It is a sin offering. י ו א ת ה שּׁ נ י י ע שׂ ה ע ל ה כּ מּ שׁ פּ ט ו כ פּ ר ע ל יו ה כּ ה ן offering,.10 And he shall offer up the second one as a burnt מ ח טּ את וֹ א שׁ ר ח ט א ו נ ס ל ח ל וֹ: according to the law. He shall not put oil over it, nor shall he place frankincense upon it, for it is a sin offering. יב ו ה ב יא הּ א ל ה כּ ה ן ו ק מ ץ ה כּ ה ן מ מּ נּ ה מ ל וֹא.12 He shall bring it to the kohen, and the kohen shall scoop ק מ צ וֹ א ת א ז כּ ר ת הּ ו ה ק ט יר ה מּ ז בּ ח ה ע ל א שּׁ י י הוֹ ה ח טּ את ה וא: out a fistful as its reminder, and cause it to [go up in] smoke on the altar, upon the fires of the Lord. It is a sin offering. יג ו כ פּ ר ע ל יו ה כּ ה ן ע ל ח טּ את וֹ א שׁ ר ח ט א.13 Thus the kohen shall make atonement for his sin that he מ א ח ת מ א לּ ה ו נ ס ל ח ל וֹ ו ה י ת ה ל כּ ה ן כּ מּ נ ח ה: committed in any one of these [cases], and he shall be forgiven. And it shall belong to the kohen like the meal offering. יד ו י ד בּ ר י הוֹ ה א ל משׁ ה לּ אמ ר: saying,.14 And the Lord spoke to Moses, 15. If a person commits a betrayal and trespasses טו נ פ שׁ כּ י ת מ ע ל מ ע ל ו ח ט א ה בּ שׁ ג ג ה מ קּ ד שׁ י י הוֹ ה ו ה ב יא א ת א שׁ מ וֹ ל יהוֹ ה א י ל תּ מ ים מ ן ה צּ אן בּ ע ר כּ כּ ס ף שׁ ק ל ים בּ שׁ ק ל ה קּ ד שׁ ל א שׁ ם: unintentionally against [one] of the things sacred to the Lord, he shall bring as his guilt offering to the Lord an unblemished ram from the flock with a value of silver shekels, in accordance with the shekel of the Sanctuary for a guilt offering. 16. And what he has trespassed against the holy thing he טז ו א ת א שׁ ר ח ט א מ ן ה קּ ד שׁ י שׁ לּ ם ו א ת ח מ ישׁ תוֹ יוֹס ף ע ל יו ו נ ת ן א ת וֹ ל כּ ה ן ו ה כּ ה ן י כ פּ ר ע ל יו בּ א יל ה א שׁ ם ו נ ס ל ח ל וֹ: shall pay, and he shall add one fifth of its value to it, and he shall give it to the kohen. The kohen shall then make atonement for him through the ram of the guilt offering, and he shall be forgiven. יז ו א ם נ פ שׁ כּ י ת ח ט א ו ע שׂ ת ה א ח ת מ כּ ל מ צ וֹ ת.17 If a person sins and commits one of the commandments of י הוֹ ה א שׁ ר ל א ת ע שׂ ינ ה ו ל א י ד ע ו א שׁ ם ו נ שׂ א ע וֹ נ וֹ: the Lord which may not be committed, but he does not know, he is guilty, and he shall bear his transgression. יח ו ה ב יא א י ל תּ מ ים מ ן ה צּ אן בּ ע ר כּ ל א שׁ ם.18 He shall bring an unblemished ram from the flock, with the א ל ה כּ ה ן ו כ פּ ר ע ל יו ה כּ ה ן ע ל שׁ ג ג ת וֹ א שׁ ר שׁ ג ג ו ה וּא ל א י ד ע ו נ ס ל ח ל וֹ: value for a guilt offering, to the kohen. The kohen shall then make atonement for his unintentional sin which he committed and did not know, and he shall be forgiven. יט א שׁ ם ה וּא א שׁ ם א שׁ ם ל יהוֹ ה: Lord. 19. It is a guilt offering he has incurred guilt before the כ ו י ד בּ ר י הוֹ ה א ל משׁ ה לּ אמ ר: saying,.20 And the Lord spoke to Moses, כא נ פ שׁ כּ י ת ח ט א וּמ ע ל ה מ ע ל בּ יהוֹ ה ו כ ח שׁ.21 If a person sins, betraying the Lord by falsely denying to בּ ע מ ית וֹ בּ פ קּ ד וֹן א וֹ ב ת שׂ וּמ ת י ד א וֹ ב ג ז ל א וֹ ע שׁ ק his fellow concerning a deposit, or money given in hand, or an

12 object taken by robbery, or he withheld funds from his fellow, א ת ע מ ית וֹ: 22. or he found a lost article and he denied it and swore כב א וֹ מ צ א א ב ד ה ו כ ח שׁ בּ הּ ו נ שׁ בּ ע ע ל שׁ ק ר ע ל א ח ת מ כּ ל א שׁ ר י ע שׂ ה ה א ד ם ל ח ט א ב ה נּ ה: falsely regarding any one of all these cases whereby a man may sin, כג ו ה י ה כּ י י ח ט א ו א שׁ ם ו ה שׁ יב א ת ה גּ ז ל ה א שׁ ר.23 and it shall be, when he has sinned and is guilty, that he גּ ז ל א וֹ א ת ה ע שׁ ק א שׁ ר ע שׁ ק א וֹ א ת ה פּ קּ ד וֹן א שׁ ר ה פ ק ד א תּ וֹ א וֹ א ת ה א ב ד ה א שׁ ר מ צ א: shall return the article which he had robbed, or the funds which he had withheld, or the item which had been deposited with him, or the article which he had found; כד אוֹ מ כּ ל א שׁ ר י שּׁ ב ע ע ל יו ל שּׁ ק ר ו שׁ לּ ם א תוֹ.24 or anything else, regarding which he had sworn falsely, he בּ ר אשׁ וֹ ו ח מ שׁ ת יו י ס ף ע ל יו ל א שׁ ר ה וּא ל וֹ י תּ נ נּוּ בּ י וֹם א שׁ מ ת וֹ: shall pay it with its principal, adding its fifths to it. He shall give it to its rightful owner on the day [he repents for] his guilt. 25. He shall then bring his guilt offering to the Lord: an כה ו א ת א שׁ מ וֹ י ב יא ל יהוֹ ה א י ל תּ מ ים מ ן ה צּ אן בּ ע ר כּ ל א שׁ ם א ל ה כּ ה ן: unblemished ram from the flock with the [same] value, for a guilt offering, to the kohen. כו ו כ פּ ר ע ל יו ה כּ ה ן ל פ נ י י הוֹ ה ו נ ס ל ח ל וֹ ע ל א ח ת.26 And the kohen shall make atonement for him before the מ כּ ל א שׁ ר י ע שׂ ה ל א שׁ מ ה ב הּ: Lord, and he shall be forgiven for any one of all [cases] whereby one may commit [a sin], incurring guilt through it. Neither did you purchase cane for Me with money, nor כד ל א ק נ ית לּ י ב כּ ס ף ק נ ה ו ח ל ב ז ב ח י ל א ה ר ו ית נ י א ה ע ב ד תּ נ י בּ ח טּ אות י ה וֹג ע תּ נ י בּ ע וֹ נ ת י : have you sated Me with the fat of your sacrifices. But you have burdened Me with your sins; you have wearied Me with your iniquities. כה א נ כ י א נ כ י ה וּא מ ח ה פ שׁ ע י ל מ ע נ י ו ח טּ את י.25,I yea I erase your transgressions for My sake, and your ל א א ז כּ ר: sins I will not remember. כו ה ז כּ יר נ י נ שּׁ פ ט ה י ח ד ס פּ ר א תּ ה ל מ ע ן תּ צ דּ ק:.26 Remind Me, let us stand in judgment; you tell, in order that you be accounted just. 27. Your first father sinned, and your intercessors כז א ב י ה ר אשׁ וֹן ח ט א וּמ ל יצ י פּ שׁ עוּ ב י: transgressed against Me. 28. And I profane the holy princes, and I deliver Jacob to כח ו א ח לּ ל שׂ ר י ק ד שׁ ו א תּ נ ה ל ח ר ם י ע ק ב ו י שׂ ר א ל ל ג דּוּפ ים: destruction and Israel to revilings. Fear not, My servant Jacob, and Jeshurun whom I have chosen. ג כּ י א צּ ק מ י ם ע ל צ מ א ו נ וֹז ל ים ע ל י בּ שׁ ה א צּ ק.3 As I will pour water on the thirsty and running water on dry רוּח י ע ל ז ר ע וּב ר כ ת י ע ל צ א צ א י : land, I will pour My spirit on your seed and My blessing on your offspring. 4. And they shall sprout among the grass like willows on ד ו צ מ ח וּ בּ ב ין ח צ יר כּ ע ר ב ים ע ל י ב ל י מ י ם: rivulets of water. ה ז ה י אמ ר ל יהוֹ ה א נ י ו ז ה י ק ר א ב שׁ ם י ע ק ב ו ז ה.5 This one shall say, I" am the Lord's," and this one shall call י כ תּ ב י דוֹ ל יהוֹ ה וּב שׁ ם י שׂ ר א ל י כ נּ ה: himself by the name of Jacob, and this one shall write [with] his hand, "To the Lord," and adopt the name Israel. ו כּ ה א מ ר י הוֹ ה מ ל י שׂ ר א ל ו ג א ל וֹ י הוֹ ה צ ב א וֹת.6 So said the Lord, the King of Israel and his Redeemer the

Those who form idols are all of them vanity, and their ט י צ ר י פ ס ל כּ לּ ם תּ הוּ ו ח מ וּד יה ם בּ ל יוֹע ילוּ ו ע ד יה ם ה מּ ה בּ ל י ר א וּ וּב ל י ד ע וּ ל מ ע ן י ב שׁוּ: treasures are of no avail, and they are their witnesses; they neither see nor hear, nor do they know, so that they be ashamed. 10. Who formed a god or molded an image, being of no avail? י מ י י צ ר א ל וּפ ס ל נ ס ל ב ל תּ י הוֹע יל: יא ה ן כּ ל ח ב ר יו י ב שׁוּ ו ח ר שׁ ים ה מּ ה מ א ד ם.11 Behold, all his colleagues shall be ashamed, and they are י ת ק בּ צ וּ כ לּ ם י ע מ דוּ י פ ח ד וּ י ב שׁוּ י ח ד: smiths-of man. Let all of them gather, let them stand, they shall fear, they shall be ashamed together. 12. The ironsmith [makes] an axe, and he works with coal, יב ח ר שׁ בּ ר ז ל מ ע צ ד וּפ ע ל בּ פּ ח ם וּב מּ קּ ב וֹת י צּ ר הוּ ו יּ פ ע ל הוּ בּ ז ר וֹ כּ ח וֹ גּ ם ר ע ב ו א ין כּ ל א שׁ ת ה מ י ם ו יּ ע ף: and with sledge hammers he fashions it; and he made it with his strong arm; yea he is hungry, and he has no strength, he did not drink water and he becomes faint. יג ח ר שׁ ע צ ים נ ט ה ק ו י ת א ר הוּ ב שּׂ ר ד י ע שׂ הוּ.13 The carpenter stretched out a line, he beautifies it with a בּ מּ ק צ ע וֹת וּב מּ חוּג ה י ת א ר הוּ ו יּ ע שׂ הוּ כּ ת ב נ ית א ישׁ כּ ת פ א ר ת א ד ם ל שׁ ב ת בּ י ת: saw; he fixes it with planes, and with a compass he rounds it, and he made it in the likeness of a man, like the beauty of man to sit [in] the house. יד ל כ ר ת ל וֹ א ר ז ים ו יּ קּ ח תּ ר ז ה ו א לּ וֹן ו י א מּ ץ ל וֹ.14 To hew for himself cedars, and he took an ilex and an oak בּ ע צ י י ע ר נ ט ע א ר ן ו ג שׁ ם י ג דּ ל: and he reenforced it with forest trees; he planted a sapling, and rain makes it grow. טו ו ה י ה ל א ד ם ל ב ע ר ו יּ קּ ח מ ה ם ו יּ ח ם א ף י שּׂ יק.15 And it was for man to ignite, and he took from them and ו א פ ה ל ח ם א ף י פ ע ל א ל ו יּ שׁ תּ חוּ ע שׂ הוּ פ ס ל ו יּ ס גּ ד ל מוֹ: warmed himself; he even heated [the oven] and baked bread; he even made a god and prostrated himself, he made a graven image and bowed to them. טז ח צ יוֹ שׂ ר ף בּ מוֹ א שׁ ע ל ח צ יוֹ בּ שׂ ר י אכ ל י צ ל ה.16 Half of it he burnt with fire, on half of it he ate meat, he צ ל י ו י שׂ בּ ע א ף י ח ם ו י אמ ר ה א ח ח מּוֹת י ר א ית י א וּר: roasted a roast and became sated; he even warmed himself and said, "Aha, I am warm, I see fire."

And what is left over from it he made for a god, for his יז וּשׁ א ר ית וֹ ל א ל ע שׂ ה ל פ ס ל וֹ י ס גּ ד (כתיב י ס גּ וד ) ל וֹ ו י שׁ תּ חוּ ו י ת פּ לּ ל א ל יו ו י אמ ר ה צּ יל נ י כּ י א ל י א תּ ה: graven image; he kneels to it and prostrates himself and prays to it, and he says, "Save me, for you are my god." 18. Neither do they know nor do they understand, for their יח ל א י ד ע וּ ו ל א י ב ינוּ כּ י ט ח מ ר אוֹת ע ינ יה ם מ ה שׂ כּ יל ל בּ ת ם: eyes are bedaubed from seeing, their hearts from understanding. יט ו ל א י שׁ יב א ל ל בּ וֹ ו ל א ד ע ת ו ל א ת בוּנ ה ל אמ ר.19 And he does not give it thought, and he has neither ח צ י וֹ שׂ ר פ תּ י ב מוֹ א שׁ ו א ף א פ ית י ע ל גּ ח ל יו ל ח ם א צ ל ה ב שׂ ר ו א כ ל ו י ת רוֹ ל ת וֹע ב ה א ע שׂ ה ל ב וּל ע ץ א ס גּ וֹד: knowledge nor understanding to say, "Half of it I burnt with fire, and I even baked bread on its coals, I roasted meat and ate. And what was left over from it, shall I make for an abomination, shall I bow to rotten wood?" כ ר ע ה א פ ר ל ב הוּת ל ה טּ הוּ ו ל א י צּ יל א ת נ פ שׁוֹ [To] a provider [made] of ashes, a deceived heart has.20 ו ל א י אמ ר ה ל וֹא שׁ ק ר בּ ימ ינ י: perverted him, and he shall not save his soul, and he shall not say, "Is there not falsehood in my right hand?" 21. Remember these, O Jacob; and Israel, for you are My כא ז כ ר א לּ ה י ע ק ב ו י שׂ ר א ל כּ י ע ב דּ י א תּ ה י צ ר תּ י ע ב ד ל י א תּ ה י שׂ ר א ל ל א ת נּ שׁ נ י: servant; I formed you that you be a servant to Me, Israel, do not forget Me. כב מ ח ית י כ ע ב פּ שׁ ע י ו כ ע נ ן ח טּ את י שׁוּב ה.22 I erased your transgressions like a thick cloud, and like a א ל י כּ י ג א ל תּ י : cloud have I erased your sins; return to Me for I have redeemed you. כג ר נּ וּ שׁ מ י ם כּ י ע שׂ ה י הוֹ ה ה ר יעוּ תּ ח תּ יּ וֹת א ר ץ.23 Sing, ye heavens, for the Lord has done [this], shout, ye פּ צ ח וּ ה ר ים ר נּ ה י ע ר ו כ ל ע ץ בּ וֹ כּ י ג א ל י הוֹ ה י ע ק ב וּב י שׂ ר א ל י ת פּ א ר: lowest parts of the earth; ye mountains, burst out in song, the forest and all trees therein; for the Lord has redeemed Jacob, and with Israel shall He be glorified.
