1 פרויקט השנה 2012 רחל בן אהרון סטודנטים קטגוריית אריה ואלדר שרון לעידוד סטודנטים יצירתיים פרס הבעיה המהותית ביותר של בתי הספר לאדריכלות היא ניתוקם הכמעט מוחלט מהעולם המעשי. ניתוק זה אף מחמיר כאשר העולם התיאורטי מרוקן מתוכן, ותוכנית הלימודים מוכתבת על ידי פקידים בלתי מקצועיים המציבים את הבוגרים בפני דילמות קיומיות. כתוצאה מכך, חינו של המקצוע שנחשב עד לא מזמן כמשאת נפשם של רבים, סר ועימו מושפל גם מעמדו החברתי של האדריכל. התופעה אינה חדשה, כמובן, אך מימדיה המחמירים מעמידים כיום את מקצוע האדריכלות ואת התוצר האדריכלי המופקע ממנו בשפל חסר תקדים. מדינות לא מעטות (אנגליה בראשן) משלבות במהלך הלימודים עבודה מעשית, המעניקה לסטודנט הזדמנות לחוות באופן מעשי את רזי המקצוע, ומצד שני מקנה לו זמן לעכל את החומר הרב הנלמד. פינת הילדים קמפוס המרכז לידע כפרי הלבאד גוג'ראט, הודו Saba סטודיו לאדריכלות ספונטנית, בצלאל משתתפים: יונתן אלון, תמר אלון, איתי בכור, אילת בן- דוד, ענבל הלצר, אלון יצקין, יעל ג'ונסון, רג'נדרה מנרייה, קרן כריסטינה מנג'ול, אלקסיי נוסקוב, מתן פיזנטה, מבשרת רקנטי, מיכל רושפלד, פואד סאלם, רונן סרודי, טלי סרברו, טל תומר, עודד וידר 1 - Saba סטודיו לאדריכלות ספונטנית בבצלאל בהנחייתו של אדריכל שרון רוטברד - עוסק בחיפוש אחר טכניקות וחומרי בנייה זמינים. ייחודו בכך שכל סטודנט מתנסה לראשונה בתכנון ובניית מבנה, שבו הוא אמור לבלות את הלילה האחרון של הסימסטר. במסגרת זו הסטודנטים השתתפו בפרויקט משותף עם הפקולטה לאדריכלות של אוניברסיטת אחמדאבאד ומכללת צ'נדיגאר לאדריכלות בהודו. בפרויקט שנערך במרכז לידע כפרי בחווה ליד הלבאד, גוג'ארט השתתפו אנשי מקצוע בדימוס - חוואים, בנאים, נגרים, ואורגים. המשימה שהוטלה על הסטודנטים הייתה לתכנן ולבנות ארבע כיתות לימוד - שבהן ניתן למקם פונקציות שונות - ספרייה, פינת מנוחה, ועמדת מחשב - הכל מחומרים מקומיים בבנייה עצמית, בעלות מירבית של 300 דולר במימון הסטודנטים project of the year competition - student category architecture of israel #91 november 2012 page 11 english version

4 SABA - a studio for Spontaneous Architecture at the Bezalel Academy, Jerusalem, founded and run by architect Sharon Rotbard. At SABA, students explore and experiment with construction materials and develop techniques for their implementation. During the program, students plan and build their first building, where they have to spend the last night of the semester. Within this framework, students participated last summer in a cooperative project with the Architecture Faculty at CEPT University Ahmedabad and the Chandigarh College of Architecture. The project was carried out at the Center for Rural Knowledge Campus, located near Halvad in the Surendranagar district of Gujarat. Guided by teachers, the project included local retired artisans - farmers, masons, carpenters and weavers. The task was to plan and build 4 open classrooms, enabling functions such as a library, a rest corner, and computer stands. The advantage of such a strategy, as opposed to the demolish-and-build method, is that it is possible to restore and foster unique local identities that have developed over the years. 9 STUDENT CATEGORY 2012 project of the year competition rachel ben aharon The most significant problem of schools of architecture is their total detachment from the practical world. This intensifies when the theoretical world becomes devoid of meaning, and the syllabus is determined mainly by unprofessional bureaucrats, facing graduates with issues of survival. In such a situation, the profession, until recently attractive to so many, loses its appeal and, with it, the status of the architect. Although not a new phenomenon, the outcome is a poor architectural product. Editorial Recently, I found myself rolling down to an "Ashram in the Desert" workshop - A place where earth meets sky in a purple-red sunset at the heart of a wilderness, a place of meditation, peace, and quiet No, this is not an advertisement for day dreamers who are troubled by the poisonous material world, but a strong urge to share with you a world that is all good, without the election propaganda that strives to drive us all mad. The workshop focused on three principles that I highly recommend: reducing consumption of desires and addiction to idols; taking a deep breath to restart your well being; and meditating on the self in order to neutralize all the noise and nonsense around you. I personally took from the workshop the courage to get rid of all the old clothes consuming space in my closet, preventing me from renewing my wardrobe. I understood that this principle is valid for all spheres of life: relatives, enemies, money, politics and even buildings. I am not suggesting demolishing old buildings or getting rid of politicians - some of them have the patina of a good wine. But just like wines, so it is with politicians, buildings and architects, there are good and not so good - not to mention the very worst ones. Our natural inclination to think that whatever worked in the past will do so in the future is basically mistaken. There is so much noise around us that we are better off getting rid of it. Not all at once, so we aren t left empty handed, but carefully, every time that something (or somebody) prevents us from going forward. After all, God has a word in the accidental as well and one must leave space for future occasions. There s an old Chinese story about a fisherman who used to come home every day with one fish. He would eat it together with his wife and then walk with her along the riverside, returning satisfied to their modest home. One day, an American tourist asked him why he didn t stay longer, catch a few more fish, keep one and sell the rest and then what, asked the fisherman then when you get old, you'll have the money to buy one fish every day, eat it with your wife, go for a walk along the riverside and return home satisfied.. Simplicity, a deep breath, and self-critique - they say in Ashram in the Desert - are essential for renewal. With all due respect, and I have respect for the strong outcry of the social protest, unless you yourself sit in parliament, there is no chance for our old defiled body to renew itself. And apropos renewal, Tamar says we must change our attitude towards released prisoners. It isn t right that the only work place available to them is the Knesset. P.S.
