Et lorsque vous verrez ces franges, vous vous souviendrez de tous les commandements de l'eternel pour les accomplir Et vous ne suivrez pas les égarements des yeux et du cœur. Ainsi vous rappelant tous Mes commandements, vous les accomplirez et vous serez consacrés à votre Dieu. Je suis l'eternel votre Dieu qui vous ai fait sortir du pays d'egypte pour être votre Dieu, Je suis l'eternel votre Dieu. The Eternal said to Moses: Speak to the children of Israel and tell them that each generation shall put tassels on the corner of their clothes, and put a blue thread on the corner tassel. Then when this tassel catches your eye, you will remember all the commands of the Eternal and do them. Then you will no longer wander after the desires of your heart and your eyes which led you to lust. Then you will remember all My commands and do them and you will be set apart for your God. I am the Eternal your God Who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your own God. I, the Eternal, am your God. 9

Tu Te souviens de la fidélité de nos ancêtres et Tu accordes la Rédemption aux enfants de leurs enfants pour la gloire de Ton nom et par amour, Roi qui délivre, aide et protège. Béni sois-tu Eternel, Protecteur d Abraham et de Sarah. Blessed are You, our God, and God of our ancestors, God of Abraham, God of Isaac, God of Jacob, God of Sarah, God of Rebecca, God of Rachel, God of Leah, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, God beyond, generous in love and kindness, and possessing all. You remember the good deeds of those before us, and therefore in love bring rescue to the generations, for such is Your being. The Sovereign who helps and saves and shields. Blessed are You God, who shields Abraham and who remembers Sarah. 10

Tu détiens éternellement la puissance, c'est Toi qui fais vivre et Tu es fertile en secours. Tu fais descendre la rosée,, Tu nourris les vivants avec bonté et avec une grande clémence Tu fais vivre les mortels. Tu soutiens ceux qui chancellent, guéris les malades, libères les enchaînés et restes fidèle à ceux qui dorment dans la poussière. Qui est comme Toi, Maître de toutes les forces, et qui Te ressemble, Toi qui disposes de la vie et de la mort, et fais germer le salut? Fidèle à Toi-même, Tu fais vivre les mortels. Béni sois-tu Eternel, qui fais vivre les mortels. You are the endless power that renews life beyond death; You are the greatness that saves. Who brings down dew. You care for the living with love. You renew life beyond death with unending mercy. You support the falling, and heal the sick. You free prisoners, and keep faith with those who sleep in the dust. Who can perform such mighty deeds, and who can compare with You, a Sovereign who brings death and life, and renews salvation? You are faithful to renew life beyond death. Nous sanctifions Ton Nom dans ce monde comme il l'est par Tes messagers dans le ciel, selon la parole du prophète: Saint, Saint, Saint est l'eternel Tzébaot, Sa gloire remplit toute la terre! Et s'unissant dans leurs louanges, ils disent: Bénie soit la majesté divine dans Sa sublimité. Et dans l'ecriture il est dit: L'Eternel règne à jamais, ton Dieu règne, ô Sion, de génération en génération, Hallelouyah. We worship and sanctify You as they sanctify You in the highest heavens, where celestial choirs sing as in Your prophet s vision. And they called to each other and said: Holy, holy, holy is the Creator of all, Whose glory fills all the earth.' God s glory fills the universe. Your servants ask each other, Where is the place of Your glory? They cry in answer, Blessed Blessed is God s glory, revealed in every place. May You turn from Your place in mercy, and be gracious to the people who in love declare Your unity twice each day, evening and morning, with the words of the Shema: Hear O Israel, the Eternal is our God, the Eternal is One. Our God is One, our source of life, our Sovereign, our deliverer who will repeat to us in mercy, in the presence of all living, the promise to be your God. I am your God, the Eternal! And in Your holy writing it is said: 'The Everpresent shall rule forever! Your God, O Zion, for all generations! Praise God!' 12

Béni sois-tu Eternel, Dieu de sainteté. We declare Your greatness to all generations, and to all eternity we proclaim Your holiness. Your praise shall never depart from our mouth, for You are God, the great and holy Sovereign. Combien belle fut la destinée de Moïse que Tu appelas Ton fidèle serviteur. Il apporta les Tables de la Loi sur lesquelles était gravé l'ordre d'observer le Chabbat en ces termes: "Les enfants d'israël observeront le Chabbat de génération en génération, en pacte éternel. Ce sera pour eux un symbole attestant l'œuvre de la Création et le repos du septième jour". Notre Dieu et Dieu de nos ancêtres, agrée notre repos, sanctifie-nous par Tes commandements et accorde-nous notre part dans Ta Torah. Comble-nous de Tes bontés, réjouis-nous de Ton secours et purifie nos cœurs afin que nous Te servions dans la vérité. Donne-nous en héritage, Eternel notre Dieu, Ton saint Chabbat, afin que s y reposent Israël et ceux qui sanctifient Ton nom. Béni sois-tu Eternel, qui sanctifies le Chabbat. 13

14 Moses rejoiced at the gift of his destiny for You called him a faithful servant. You set a radiance about his head when he stood before You on Mount Sinai, bringing down in his hand the two tablets of stone on which is written the Shabbat command, and so it is written in Your Torah: The children of Israel shall keep the Shabbat, observing the Shabbat as a timeless covenant for all generations. It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever. For in six days the Creator made heaven and earth and on the seventh day ceased from work and was at rest.
