עלון לצרכן לפי תקנות הרוקחים )תכשירים( התשמ"ו - 1986 תרופה זו חייבת במרשם רופא קרא בעיון את העלון עד סופו בטרם תשתמש בתרופה העלון כתוב בלשון זכר ומיועד לנשים וגברים כאחד פורמט עלון זה נקבע ע"י משרד הבריאות ותוכנו נבדק ואושר על ידו במאי 2011 תרופה זו מיועדת למטופלים שלא אוזנו על ידי תרופות אחרות אבנדיה 8 TM מ"ג אבנדיה 4 TM מ"ג טבליות מצופות טבליות מצופות הרכב: החומר הפעיל וכמותו: כל טבליה מכילה: כל טבליה מכילה: Rosiglitazone (as maleate) 8 mg Rosiglitazone (as maleate) 4 mg חומרים בלתי פעילים: כמו כן מכילה: כמו כן מכילה: כ- 105 מ"ג לקטוז כ- 210 מ"ג לקטוז כ- 0.31 מ"ג נתרן כ- 0.63 מ"ג נתרן Sodium Starch Glycollate, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose 3cP, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Lactose Monohydrate, Magnesium Stearate קבוצה תרפויטית: תיאזולידינדיון. תרופה המורידה את רמות הגלוקוז )סוכר( בדם על ידי שיפור תגובת תאי הגוף לאינסולין )מפחיתה את תנגודת התא לאינסולין(, ללא הגברת הפרשת אינסולין מהלבלב. פעילות רפואית: לטיפול בסוכרת מסוג 2 )ללא תלות באינסולין( למטופלים שכבר נוטלים אבנדיה או מטופלים שלא אוזנו על ידי תרופות אחרות. מתי אין להשתמש בתכשיר? אין להשתמש אם ידועה לך רגישות יתר לאחד ממרכיבי התרופה. אין להשתמש אם הנך סובל מסוכרת מסוג 1. אין להשתמש במטופלים עם אי ספיקת לב. אין להשתמש בתרופה מבלי להיוועץ ברופא לפני התחלת הטיפול: אם הינך בהריון, מתכננת הריון, מיניקה או מתכננת להניק. יש להיוועץ לגבי גורמי סיכון לבביים פוטנציאליים הכוללים: יתר לחץ דם, רמות כולסטרול גבוהות בדם, עישון או עבר משפחתי של התקפי לב. אם ידוע לך על חוסר סבילות ללקטוז )התכשיר מכיל לקטוז(. אם הנך מטופל באינסולין או סבלת בעבר מקטואצידוזיס. אם הנך סובל או סבלת בעבר מליקוי בתפקוד: הלב )כגון: אי ספיקת לב או התקף לב(, הכבד או אם הנך סובל או סבלת בעבר מבצקת בקרקעית העין. אזהרות: אבנדיה עלולה לגרום לתופעות לוואי חמורות. לפני התחלת הטיפול בתרופה זו ובמהלכו חשוב להיות תחת פיקוח רפואי לצורך הערכת הטיפול. רוסיגליתאזון עלול לגרום לאצירת נוזלים בגוף )עלול להוביל לאי ספיקת לב( ו/או להגביר את הסיכון להתקף לב )ראה סעיף תופעות לוואי(. הסיכון לכך עשוי לעלות במי שנוטל תרופות נוספות לטיפול בסוכרת )כמו אינסולין(. לפני תחילת הטיפול בתרופה זו ובמהלכו יש לערוך בדיקות תפקודי כבד ובדיקות דם בתדירות שתיקבע על ידי הרופא המטפל. בתקופת הטיפול יש לערוך בדיקות עיניים בקביעות. אם הנך רגיש למזון כלשהו או לתרופה כלשהי, עליך להודיע על כך לרופא לפני נטילת התרופה. עליך לדווח לרופא אם הנך עומד לעבור בדיקות מעבדתיות מאחר והטיפול בתרופה זו עלול להפריע לתוצאות. בנשים עם מחזור לא סדיר, למשל לפני גיל הבלות, אבנדיה עלולה להגביר את הסיכוי להיכנס להריון. מומלץ להשתמש באמצעים נאותים למניעת הריון. לא מומלץ להשתמש בתרופה לטיפול בקטואצידוזיס. תגובות בין תרופתיות: אם הנך נוטל תרופה נוספת, או אם גמרת זה עתה טיפול בתרופה אחרת, כולל תרופות ללא מרשם או תוספי מזון, עליך לדווח לרופא המטפל כדי למנוע סיכונים או אי יעילות הנובעים מתגובות בין תרופתיות, במיוחד לגבי אינסולין ותרופות לטיפול ביתר לחץ דם, להפחתת רמות כולסטרול בדם, לטיפול באי ספיקת לב, למניעת מחלות לב או שבץ. תופעות לוואי: בנוסף לפעילות הרצויה של התרופה, בזמן השימוש בה עלולות להופיע תופעות לוואי, כגון: כאב ראש, תסמינים המדמים התקררות. תופעות לוואי המחייבות התייחסות מיוחדת: התקף לב היכול להתבטא באי נוחות במרכז החזה הנמשך יותר ממספר דקות או שחולף או חוזר; לחץ בחזה; כאב בזרוע, גב, צוואר, לסת או בטן; קוצר נשימה; זיעה קרה; בחילה או הקאה; סחרחורת, יש לפנות לרופא או לחדר מיון מיד! אי ספיקת לב היכולה להתבטא באצירת נוזלים )בצקת או התנפחות, בעיקר בקרסוליים וברגליים(, עלייה לא רגילה ומהירה במשקל, קוצר נשימה במיוחד בשכיבה ו/או עייפות בלתי רגילה, יש לפנות לרופא מיד! ירידה קלה בספירת תאי דם אדומים, עלייה ברמת הכולסטרול, יש להיוועץ ברופא. היפוגליקמיה )ירידה ברמת הסוכר בדם(. יכולה להתבטא בסחרחורת, רעד או רעב, יש להיוועץ ברופא. הפרעות בתפקוד הכבד - אם הנך חש בבחילה, הקאה, כאב בטן, עייפות, חוסר תיאבון, הצהבת העור או לובן העין או שתן כהה, יש לפנות לרופא מיד! תופעות אלרגיה כגון: פריחה, תופעות עוריות כגון חרלת, נפיחות של פנים, שפתיים, פה, לשון או גרון היכולה לגרום לקושי בבליעה או בנשימה, יש לפנות לרופא מיד. שינויים בראייה עקב נפיחות )או נוזלים( בצד האחורי של העין, יש לפנות לרופא מיד. אצל מטופלים בתרופה זו נצפו שברים ביד, בזרוע או בכף הרגל. על מנת לשמור על בריאות העצם יש להתייעץ עם הרופא. בכל מקרה שבו הנך מרגיש תופעות לוואי שלא צוינו בעלון זה, או אם חל שינוי בהרגשתך הכללית עליך להתייעץ עם הרופא מיד. מינון: מינון לפי הוראות הרופא בלבד. אין לעבור על המנה המומלצת. תרופה זו אינה מיועדת בדרך כלל למטופלים מתחת לגיל 18. אם שכחת ליטול תרופה זו בזמן קצוב יש ליטול מנה מיד כשנזכרת, אך בשום אופן אין ליטול שתי מנות ביחד! אופן השימוש: אין ללעוס! ניתן ליטול את התרופה עם מזון או בלעדיו. יש לבלוע עם כוס מים. אין לחצות או לכתוש את הטבליה. רצוי לקחת את התרופה בכל יום באותו זמן. כיצד תוכל לסייע להצלחת הטיפול? עליך להשלים את הטיפול שהומלץ על ידי הרופא. גם אם חל שיפור במצב בריאותך אין להפסיק הטיפול בתרופה ללא התייעצות עם רופא. 480
מנע הרעלה! תרופה זו וכל תרופה אחרת יש לשמור במקום סגור מחוץ להישג ידם של ילדים ו/או תינוקות ועל ידי כך תמנע הרעלה. אם נטלת מנת יתר או אם בטעות בלע ילד מן התרופה, פנה מיד לחדר מיון של בית חולים, והבא אריזת התרופה איתך. אין לגרום להקאה ללא הוראה מפורשת מרופא! תרופה זו נרשמה לטיפול במחלתך, בחולה אחר היא עלולה להזיק. אין לתת תרופה זו לקרוביך, שכניך או מכריך. אין ליטול תרופות בחושך! יש לבדוק התווית והמנה בכל פעם שהנך נוטל תרופה. יש להרכיב משקפיים אם הנך זקוק להם. אחסנה: יש לאחסן מתחת ל- 30. o C גם לפי תנאי האריזה/האחסנה המומלצים, תרופות נשמרות לתקופה מוגבלת בלבד. נא לשים לב לתאריך התפוגה של התכשיר! בכל מקרה של ספק, עליך להיוועץ ברוקח שסיפק לך את התרופה. אין לאחסן תרופות שונות באותה אריזה. Avoid poisoning! This medicine, and all other medicines, must be stored in a safe place out of the reach of children and/or infants, to avoid poisoning. If you have taken an overdose, or if a child has accidentally swallowed the medicine, proceed immediately to a hospital emergency room and bring the package of the medicine with you. Do not induce vomiting unless explicitly instructed to do so by a physician! This medicine has been prescribed for the treatment of your ailment, in another patient it may cause harm. Do not give this medicine to your relatives, neighbours or acquaintances. Do not take medicines in the dark! Check the label and the dose each time you take your medicine. A medicine for lowering the blood glucose (sugar) levels by improving the response of the body s cells to insulin (reduces cellular resistance to insulin), without increasing insulin secretion from the pancreas. Therapeutic activity: For treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus (non-insulin dependent) in patients already taking Avandia or patients who are unable to achieve adequate glycemic control on other diabetes medications. When should the preparation not be used? Do not use this medicine if you know of hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients. Do not use if you suffer from type 1 diabetes mellitus. Do not use in patients with heart failure. Do not take this medicine without consulting a physician before starting treatment: If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, breastfeeding or planning to breastfeed. Consult your physician regarding potential cardiac risk factors including: hypertension, high blood cholesterol levels, smoking or a family history of heart attacks. If you have a known lactose intolerance (the preparation contains lactose). If you are being treated with insulin or have suffered in the past from ketoacidosis. If you are suffering, or have suffered in the past, from impaired function of: the heart (e.g.: heart failure or heart attack), the liver, or if you are suffering, or have suffered in the past, from macular oedema. Warnings: Avandia may cause severe side effects. Before starting treatment with this medicine and in the course of treatment, it is important to be under medical supervision in order to evaluate the treatment. Rosiglitazone may cause retention of fluids in the body (that may lead to heart failure) and/or raise the risk of a heart attack (see Side effects section). This risk may be increased in someone taking additional antidiabetic medicines (such as insulin). Before starting treatment with this medicine and in the course of treatment, you should undergo liver function tests and blood tests at a frequency to be determined by the attending physician. During treatment you should have your eyes examined regularly. If you are sensitive to any type of food or medicine, inform your physician before taking this medicine. You must inform the physician if you are about to undergo laboratory tests since treatment with this medicine may interfere with the results. In women with irregular monthly periods, for instance premenopausal women, Avandia may increase the chances of becoming pregnant. Use of appropriate birth control measures is recommended. Medicines for the treatment of ketoacidosis should not be used. Drug interactions: If you are taking another medicine or if you have just finished treatment with another medicine, including non-prescription medicines or food supplements, inform the attending physician, in order to prevent hazards or lack of efficacy arising from drug interactions, especially regarding insulin and medicines for the treatment of hypertension, for lowering cholesterol levels in the blood, for treatment of heart failure, for prevention of heart diseases or stroke. Side effects: In addition to the desired effect of the medicine, adverse reactions may occur during the course of treatment with this medicine, such as: headache, cold-like symptoms. Side effects that require special attention: Heart attack that can be manifested by discomfort in the centre of your chest that lasts for more than a few minutes, or that goes away or comes back; chest tightness; pain in your arms, back, neck, jaw or stomach; shortness of breath; breaking out in a cold sweat; nausea or vomiting; feeling lightheaded, refer to the physician or go to a hospital emergency room right away! Heart failure that can be manifested by fluid retention (oedema or swelling, especially in the ankles and legs), an unusually fast increase in weight, shortness of breath especially when you lie down and/or unusual tiredness, refer to your physician immediately! Slight decrease in red blood cell count, increase in the cholesterol level, consult your physician. Hypoglycaemia (decrease in blood sugar level). It can be manifested by lightheadedness, shakiness or hunger, consult your physician. Liver function disturbances - if you experience nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, tiredness, loss of appetite, yellowing of the skin or white of the eye or dark urine, refer to the physician immediately! Allergic reactions such as: rash, skin reactions such as hives, swelling of face, lips, mouth, tongue or throat, which may cause difficulty in swallowing or breathing, refer to the physician immediately. Changes in vision due to swelling (or fluids) in the back of the eye, refer to the physician immediately. In patients treated with this medicine, fractures of the hand, arm or foot have been observed. Consult your physician about maintaining bone health. In the event that you experience side effects not mentioned in this leaflet, or if there is a change in your general health, consult your physician immediately. Dosage: Dosage is according to physician s instructions only. Do not exceed the recommended dosage. This medicine is not usually intended for patients under 18 years of age. If you forget to take this medicine at the specified time, take the dose as soon as you remember, but never take two doses together! Directions for use: Do not chew! The medicine may be taken with or without food. Swallow with a glass of water. Do not halve or crush the tablet. It is desirable to take the medicine at the same time every day. How can you contribute to the success of the treatment? Complete the full course of treatment as instructed by the physician. Even if there is an improvement in your health, do not discontinue use of this medicine without consulting your physician.
