תאור כללי של הקורס: קורס זה מבקש להציג בפני התלמידים שורה של נושאים וסוגיות חדשות ומעניינות הנדונות כעת בספרות היחב"ל ובשדות סמוכים ומשיקים לה. הקורס יבחן שיטות חדשות לחקר הבטחון הבינ"ל, ויעלה שורה של מקרים, דוגמאות, וסוגיות המיישמות שיטות אלה. נקודת המבט של הקורס היא ביקורתית, אך לאו דווקא או לא תמיד במובן של "תיאוריה ביקורתית" (אם כי גם לזאת יהיה מקום בקורס...). מטרות הקורס: לפרוש בפני התלמידים סוגיות חדשניות ובעלות עניין בלימודי בטחון עכשוויים. תוצרי למידה בסיומו של קורס זה, סטודנטים יהיו מסוגלים: 1. לזהות ולהכיר ספרות חדשנית בלימודי בטחון. 2. לחשוב בצורה רפלקסיבית על בטחון בינ"ל. 3. להתוודע לשיטות כתיבה ומחקר חדשות. דרישות נוכחות (%): 80 שיטת ההוראה בקורס:דיון בכיתה והרצאה. רשימת נושאים / תכנית הלימודים בקורס: (1) מבוא -- דיון בדו"ח World the Around TRIP וסקירת מקומם של "לימודי הבטחון" במכלול הוראת ומחקר היחב"ל (2) על תמריצים מבניים לכתיבה קונפורמיסטית ועל הסכנות הבטחוניות שבכתיבה משעממת (3) כתיבה אוטו-אתנוגרפית בלימודי בטחון (4) אוטו-אתנוגרפיה: חשיפה והיחשפות לנוף של הקונפליקט I (5) אוטו-אתנוגרפיה: חשיפה והיחשפות לנוף של הקונפליקט II (6) סיור בבית הקברות הצבאי הבריטי בהר הצופים. (7) המרחב "הבטחוני" סביב ובתוך קמפוס הר הצופים. סיור לבניין רבין ולאמפיתיאטרון של הר הצופים ותצפית על גדר ההפרדה, שטח E1, מעלה אדומים והשכונות הפלסטיניות בקרבת הר הצופים.
