Tikkun HaKlali The Universal Remedy Before reciting the Tikkun HaKlali it is customary to say the following: In reciting Tikkun HaKlali I attach myself to all the true Tzadikim, both the living and those who have passed on; particularly to the holy tzaddik, mainstay of the world, Rebbe Nachman ben Feige, known as the Flowing Brook and Fount of Wisdom (Proverbs 18:4). May his merit protect us he who revealed this Remedy. Come, let us sing with joy to G-d, call out to the Rock of our Salvation. Let us greet Him with thanks, raise our voices to Him in song. For our G-d is the Great G-d, the Mighty King over all so called G-ds (Psalms 95:1-3). In the name of all Israel, I am ready to thank and to praise my Creator, to reveal in awe and love the unity of the Infinite Essence of G-d and His Presence in the world, through the blessings of the One Who is Hidden, Concealed and Revealed. Our Rebbe said: Bear witness to my words: When my days are over and I leave this world, I will still intercede for anyone who comes to my grave, says these ten Psalms, and gives a coin to charity. No matter how great a person's sins, I will do everything in my power, spanning the length and breadth of the creation to cleanse and protect him. I am very positive in everything I say. But I am most positive in regard to the great benefit of these ten Psalms.
These are the Ten Psalms: 16, 32, 41, 42, 59, 77, 90, 105, 137, 150. Rebbe Nachman taught us: This is the General Remedy. There is a specific remedy for each sin, but this is the general remedy. Go out and spread the teaching of the ten Psalms to all men. It may seem like an easy thing to say ten Psalms. But it will actually be very difficult in practice.
Tehillim 16 רכ ךתם רל ךד יוד ךש רמ לר יני לאל יכי ךח יסי יתי ךבך A michtam of David. Protect me, O G-d, for I seek refuge in You. ךא למר רת ליה ךוה דא נד ךני ךא ךתה טו ךב יתי לבל ךע יליך I say to the LORD, You are my Lord, my benefactor; there is none above You. יל רקדו ישים דא ישר ךב ךא ירץ לה ךמה רו לא ידי לרי ךכל יח רפ יצי ךבם As to the holy and mighty ones that are in the land, my whole desire concerning them is that ירבו לע רצבו ךתם לא לחר ךמ ךהרו לבל לא יסיך ינ רס לכי יהם ימ ךדם ו לבל יא ךשא יאת רשמו ךתם לעל רש ךפ ךתי those who espouse another [G-d] may have many sorrows! In Your presence is perfect joy; delights are ever in Your right hand. רל ךד יוד למ רש יכיל לא רש לרי רנשוי יפ לשע רכסוי דח ךט ךאה Tehillim 32 Of David. A maskil. Tehillim 90 רת יפ ךלה רל נמ ישה יאיש ךה לאל יהים דא נד ךני ךמעון לא ךתה ךהיי ךת ךלנו רב נדר ךו נדר A prayer of Moses, the man of G-d. O Lord, You have been our refuge in every generation. רב יט ירם ךה ירים יש ךלדו לו רתחולל יא ירץ רו לת לבל ו למעו ךלם לעד עו ךלם לא ךתה לאל
Before the mountains came into being, before You brought forth the earth and the world, from eternity to eternity You are G-d. ךת לשב לאנוש לעד לד ךכא לותנא ימר שובו רב לני ךא ךדם You return man to dust; You decreed, Return you mortals! יכי יא ילף ךש ינים רב לעי יניך רכיום יא רתמול יכי לי דע נבר רו לא רשמו ךרה לב ךל רי ךלה For in Your sight a thousand years are like yesterday that has passed, like a watch of the night. ז רז רז לר רמ ךתם לש ךנה י רהיו לב נב יקר יכ ךח יציר לי דחלף You engulf men in sleep; at daybreak they are like grass that renews itself; לב נב יקר ךי יציץ רו ךח ךלף ךל יע ירב רימולל רו ךי לבש at daybreak it flourishes anew; by dusk it withers and dries up. יכי ךכ ילינו רב לא יפך ו לב דח ךמ רתך ינ רב ךה רלנו So we are consumed by Your anger, terror-struck by Your fury. Turn, O LORD! How long? Tehillim 105 הודו ליה ךוה יקראו יב רשמו הו ידיעו ךב לע ימים דע ילילו ךתיו Praise the LORD; call on His name; proclaim His deeds among the peoples. ישירו לו לז רמרו לו ישיחו רב ךכל ינ רפ רלאו ךתיו יה רת לה רללו רב לשם ךק רדשו י רש למח לב רמ לב רק לשי ריה ךוה ידרשו ריה ךוה רו שעזו לב רקשו ךפ ךניו ךת ימיד Sing praises to Him; speak of all His wondrous acts. Exult in His holy name; let all who seek the LORD rejoice. Turn to the LORD, to His might; seek His presence constantly. יז רכרו ינ רפ רלאו ךתיו דא ישר ךע ךשה נמ רפ ךתיו ו ימ רש רפ לטי יפיו Remember the wonders He has done, His portents and the judgments He has pronounced, יז לרע לא רב ךר ךהם לע רבדו רב לני לי דע נקב רב יחי ךריו O offspring of Abraham, His servant, O descendants of Jacob, His chosen ones.
הוא ריה ךוה לאל להינו רב ךכל ךה ךא ירץ ימ רש ךפ ךטיו He is the LORD our G-d; His judgments are throughout the earth. ךז לכר רלעו ךלם רב יריתו ךד ךבר יצ ךוה רל יא ילף דור He is ever mindful of His covenant, the promise He gave for a thousand generations, דא ישר ךכ לרת יאת לא רב ךר ךהם ו רשבו ךעתו רלי רש ךחק לו לי דע ימי יד ךה רל לי דע נקב רל נחק רלי רש ךר לאל רב ירית עו ךלם that He made with Abraham, swore to Isaac, and confirmed in a decree for Jacob, for Israel, as an eternal covenant, לא נמר רלך יא לתן יאת יא ירץ רכ ךנ לען יח יבל לנ דחל רת יכם saying, To you I will give the land of Canaan as your allotted heritage. יב רהיו ךתם רמ לתי ימ רס ךפר יכ רמ לעט רו ךג ירים ךבה They were then few in number, a mere handful, sojourning there, לו יי רת לה רלכו ימגוי יאל גוי ימ למ רמ ךל ךכה יאל לעם לא לחר wandering from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another. לנא יה יני לח ךא ךדם רל ךע רש ךקם לויו לכח דעלי יהם רמ ךל יכים He allowed no one to oppress them; He reproved kings on their account, לאל ית רגעו יב רמ ישי ךחי רו יל רנ יבי לאי לאל ךת לרעו Do not touch My anointed ones; do not harm My prophets. לו יי רק ךרא ךר ךעב לעל ךה ךא ירץ ךכל למ לטה יל יחם ךש ךבר He called down a famine on the land, destroyed every staff of bread. ךשלח יל רפ לני יהם יאיש רל יע יבד ינ רמ לכר יו לסף He sent ahead of them a man, Joseph, sold into slavery. יענו לב יכ יבל (רגליו) לר רגלו לבר יזל ךב ךאה לנ רפשו His feet were subjected to fetters; an iron collar was put on his neck. לעד לעת בנא רד ךברו יא רמ לרת ריה ךוה רצ ךר ךפ רתהו
Until his prediction came true the decree of the LORD purged him. ךשלח ימ ילך לו לי יתי לרהו נמ לשל לע ימים לו רי לפ רת לחהו The king sent to have him freed; the ruler of nations released him. ךשמו ךאדון רל לביתו ו נמ לשל רב ךכל יק רנ ךינו He made him the lord of his household, empowered him over all his possessions, יל רא נסר ךש ךריו רב לנ רפשו ו רז לק ךניו רי לח לכם to discipline his princes at will, to teach his elders wisdom. לו ךיבנא י רש ךר לאל ימ רצ ךרים רו לי דע נקב ךגר רב יא ירץ ךחם Then Israel came to Egypt; Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham. לוי יפר יאת לעמו רמ נאד לו לי דע יצ למהו ימ ךצ ךריו He made His people very fruitful, more numerous than their foes. ךה לפך יל ךבם יל רשננא לעמו רל יה רת לנ לכל לב דע ךב ךדיו He changed their heart to hate His people, to plot against His servants. ךשלח נמ ישה לע רבדו לא דה נרן דא ישר ךב לחר בו He sent His servant Moses, and Aaron, whom He had chosen. ךשמו ךבם יד רב לרי נאתו ךתיו ו נמ רפ יתים רב יא ירץ ךחם They performed His signs among them, His wonders, against the land of Ham. ךשלח נח ישך לו לי רח ישך רולנא ךמרו יאת (דבריו) רד ךברו He sent darkness; it was very dark; did they not defy His word? ךה לפך יאת למי למי יהם רל ךדם לו ךי ימת יאת רד ךג ךתם שךרלץ אלרצךם צרפלרדרעי ם ברחלדר לי מללרכליהים ךא למר לו ךיבנא ךע נרב יכ ינים רב ךכל רגבו ךלם He turned their waters into blood and killed their fish. Their land teemed with frogs, even the rooms of their king. Swarms of insects came at His command, lice, throughout their country.
ךנ לתן יג רש למי יהם ךב ךרד לאש יל ךהבות רב לאר ךצם לו ליך לג רפ ךנם ו רת לא ךנ ךתם לו רי לש לבר לעץ רגבו ךלם He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land. He struck their vines and fig trees, broke down the trees of their country. ךא למר לו ךיבנא לאר יבה רוי ילק רו לאין ימ רס ךפר Locusts came at His command, grasshoppers without number. לוינא לכל ךכל לע ישב רב לאר ךצם לוינא לכל רפ ירי לא רד ךמ ךתם They devoured every green thing in the land; they consumed the produce of the soil. לוינא לכל ךכל לע ישב רב לאר ךצם לוינא לכל רפ ירי לא רד ךמ ךתם He struck down every first-born in the land, the first fruit of their vigor. לויו יצי לאם רב יכ יסף רו ךז ךהב רו לאין יב רש ךב ךטיו כו לשל He led Israel out with silver and gold; none among their tribes faltered. ךש למח ימ רצ לרים רב לצא ךתם יכי ךנ לפל לפ רח ךדם דעלי יהם Egypt rejoiced when they left, for dread of Israel had fallen upon them. ךפ לרש ךע ךנן רל ךמ ךסך רו לאש רל ךה יאיר ךל רי ךלה ךש לאל לו ךי לבא רש ךלו רו יל יחם ךש למים לי רש יבי לעם He spread a cloud for a cover, and fire to light up the night. They asked and He brought them quail, and satisfied them with food from heaven. ךפ לתח צור לו ךיזובו ךמים ךה רלכו לב יציות ךנ ךהר He opened a rock so that water gushed forth; it flowed as a stream in the parched land. יכי ךז לכר יאת רד לבר ךק רדשו יאת לא רב ךר ךהם לע רבדו לויו יצא לעמו רב ךששון רב יר ךנה יאת רב יחי ךריו Mindful of His sacred promise to His servant Abraham,
He led His people out in gladness, His chosen ones with joyous song. לו יי לתן ךל יהם לארצות גוים לו דע למל רל שא ימים יי ךרשו He gave them the lands of nations; they inherited the wealth of peoples, לב דעבור י רש רמרו שח ךקיו רותו נר ךתיו י רנ נצרו לה רללו ךיה that they might keep His laws and observe His teachings. Hallelujah. Tehillim 137 לעל לנ דהרות ךב יבל ךשם ךי לש רבנו לגם ךב יכינו רב ךז רכ לרנו יאת יציון By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat, sat and wept, as we thought of Zion. ל דע ךר יבים רבתו ךכה ךת ילינו יכנרו לתינו There on the poplars we hung up our lyres, יכי ךשם רש לאלונו שו לבינו יד רב לרי ישיר רותו ךללינו יש רמ ךחה ישירו ךלנו ימ ישיר יציון for our captors asked us there for songs, our tormentors, for amusement, Sing us one of the songs of Zion. לאיך ךנ ישיר יאת ישיר ריה ךוה לעל לא רד למת לנ ךכר יאם יא רש ךכ לחך רירו ךש ךלים ית רש לכח רי ימי יני How can we sing a song of the LORD on alien soil? If I forget you, O Jerusalem, let my right hand wither; ית רד לבק רלשו יני רל יח יכי יאם לנא יא רז רכ לר יכי יאם לנא לא דע ילה יאת רירו ךשלים לעל רנאש יש רמ ךח יתי let my tongue stick to my palate if I cease to think of you, if I do not keep Jerusalem in memory even at my happiest hour. רז נכר ריה ךוה יל רב לני לאדום לאת יום רירו ךש ךלים ךה נא רמ ירים ךערו ךערו לעד לה ריסוד ךבה Remember, O LORD, against the Edomites the day of Jerusalem s fall; how they cried, Strip her, strip her to her very foundations! לבת ךב יבל לה רשדו ךדה לא רש לרי יש רי לש ילם ךלך יאת רגמולך יש ךג למ רל רת ךלנו Fair Babylon, you predator, a blessing on him who repays you in kind what you have inflicted on us;
לא רש לרי ישינא לחז רו ינ לפץ יאת נע ךלליך יאל לה ךסלע a blessing on him who seizes your babies and dashes them against the rocks! Tehillim 150 לה רללו ךיה לה רללו לאל רב ךק רדשו לה רללוהו יבר יקי לע שעזו Hallelujah. Praise G-d in His sanctuary; praise Him in the sky, His stronghold. לה רללוהו יב רגבו נר ךתיו לה רללוהו רכ נרב שג רדלו Praise Him for His mighty acts; praise Him for His exceeding greatness. לה רללוהו רב לת לקע שו ךפר לה רללוהו רב לנ יבל רו יכנור Praise Him with blasts of the horn; praise Him with harp and lyre. לה רללוהו רב נתף ו ךמחול לה רללוהו רב ימ ינים רועו ךגב Praise Him with timbrel and dance; praise Him with lute and pipe. לה רללוהו רב יצ רל רצלי ךש למע לה רללוהו רב יצ רל רצלי רתרו ךעה Praise Him with resounding cymbals; praise Him with loud-clashing cymbals.
