17 16 הדלקת נרות לשבת ויום טוב Candle Lighting On ערב שבת that is not a טוב,יום cover the eyes with the hands after lighting the candles, and say: א ש ר ק ד ש נו ב מ צ ו ת יו, ו צ ו נו ל ה ד ל יק נ ר ש ל ש ב ת. On יום טוב,ערב say the following blessing and then light the candles from an existing flame. If also,שבת cover the eyes with the hands after lighting the candles and say the following blessing, adding the words in parentheses. א ש ר ק ד ש נו ב מ צ ו ת יו, ו צ ו נו ל ה ד ל יק נ ר ש ל (ש ב ת ו ש ל) יוֹם טוֹב.
